He was a jerk at the very beginning but in some ways he was different even then from most other jerk MLs. For one he was pretty desperate when he saw her but he didn’t immediately attack her and tear off her clothes while not listening to her explanation. For two he offered her money yes but he actually waited for a response. For three he didn’t seem to immediately disbelieve her when she told him why she was there. For four, he actually gave her a chance to explain in either case. So I’m wondering if you mean he’s going to be a jerk even more than he already has in the first chapter? I’d really like to know so I can decide whether I should continue reading this and whether or not I can confirm that this author really is as amazing as they seem!
